Hi Craig,

I read this last summer and really loved it. I thought it was a great piece of writing and inspired me to try to be a better writer. Thanks!

I haven't read the article yet, but one thing everyone can do to be kind to their dep person is to sort their beer bottles before bringing them to the dep for refund. Apparently the deps have to sort the bottles before they give them back to the brewers; The McAusalan guy doesn't want Boreal bottles, the Molson guy won't take Labatt bottles, etc.

Because of that, an annoying and time consuming part of the dep person's job is to sort the bottles that are brought in. That's a lot of dreary and thankless work. For that reason, I always sort them (Griffon bottles in the Griffon box, Bierbrier bottles in the Bierbrier box) BEFORE I go to the dep. It only saves that person a minute or two, but if everyone did it, it would be a huge relief to them!
